November 2002
Dear Internet,
That is five months since the site is online, and we were pleased to meet with positive feedback and enthusiasm, which we confirm that this project fills a void on the literary canvas. We therefore chose this period of literary awards, dear to our novelist, to update the site. Its content and form will be progressively completed and updated in the coming months (a version compatible with Netscape is under consideration), our main objective is also to some online texts of digitized works of Jacques Brenner that were not reprinted …
The year 2002-2003 will undoubtedly be full of news, like the reissue of the Little Daughters of Courbelles in "Cahiers Rouges" by Grasset or the recent inauguration of a commemorative plaque at Saint-Die - des-Vosges. We will keep you informed of these events in our pages.
Also, please use the discussion forum, or to sign our guestbook: it is always nice to have a return of its visitors, if only to adapt the site to your suggestions!
June 2002
Welcome to the website dedicated to the memory of a man who was author, historian, critic, journalist, literary advisor, member of grand juries, radio producer, dramatist and tireless discoverer of talent.
The Association of Friends and Readers Jacques Brenner (1901 Act) was founded in Rouen in June 2002 on the initiative of the beneficiary of the author and his collaborators. This organization is committed to ensuring the sustainability and influence of the work of Jacques Brenner, through multiple activities, including an important work of archiving, publishing an annual newsletter and a close collaboration with researchers , editors, and authors. To date, these efforts have proved fruitful, since the editorial activity that surrounds the writings of Jacques Brenner is revived by the emergence of new texts, and the reissue of publications. Similarly, we have the greatest hopes for the outcome of an exhibition project in Saint-Die-des-Vosges in September 2002.
The desire to go even further led us to consider ways to offer a modern retrospective worthy of the name and accessible to as many people: our choice was naturally focused towards the design of a "showcase" of multimedia the association on the Web.
These pages are trying to trace in detail the career too often not widely known, by paying tribute to a strong personality that has been seared on the literary history of the twentieth century. Considering that the literature is a dynamic art, based on the exchange, we also wanted to play the card of the dialogue with the visitors, allowing them to interact through the discussion forum and guestbook. Any contribution (text, photographs, testimonies, reports of research, said cultural events, etc..) Is, of course, strongly encouraged and requested to ensure that these pages come alive for themselves …
Finally, for the most "faithful" of you who wish to become more involved in our activities, all of the terms of accession can be found in the same name.
